Learners’ first languages and cultural backgrounds are resources Learning spaces are safe and inclusive Language Levels ILSC’s English and French levels are aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The CEFR is an internationally recognized standard for describing language proficiency.

All ILSC teachers have university degrees, recognized language teaching qualifications and relevant teaching experience. Additional digital and interactive learning resources that extend lesson content, support self-directed learning, improve digital literacy and reinforce key language skills. Your Language Learning & Progress ILSC offers dynamic ways to improve your abilities to understand and communicate in English, French or Hindi.  To support your progression, your ILSC teachers will:

Give you the power to decide on specific language learning goals to focus on each session. Provide regular and meaningful feedback throughout the session so you can understand where you have been successful in your learning and what you need to work on to achieve your goals. Assess you in a variety of ways including presentations, collaborative projects, formal essays, unit tests, and end-of-session writing and speaking assessments. Meet with you at the end of each session to review your student progress reports and help you make course selections according to your language learning goals. Academic Advising for University Pathway Students If you choose the University Pathway program and plan to transition to one of our college, TAFE or university partner schools, Pathway Coordinators at each campus will provide you with additional support including:
