ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR CANANDA

This program is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program.

In Vancouver, this program is offered in both approved and approval-not-required versions, depending on its length and tuition.

Approved Programs (longer than six months or for which tuition is at least $4,000)
This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Non-approved Programs (less than 6 months and less than $4000 tuition)
Students who enroll in a language program which is six months or less in duration or for which tuition is less than $4,000 may not make a claim against the Student Tuition Protection Fund, which is managed by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. Further, this language program may not have been reviewed or approved by PTIRU.

Classes Once you arrive on campus, choose CORE CLASSES and ELECTIVE CLASSES that fit your schedule, personal interests, language level, and study goals.

Beginner students will take English Foundation classes. Intermediate to Advanced students can choose from any of the below English Communication classes, or choose from our Business English, Academic and Test Preparation, or Creative and Cultural English classes.

CORE CLASSES ELECTIVE CLASSES Discussion Circle In Discussion Circle, you will sharpen your speaking, listening, debating and presentation skills through exploring news, articles and documentaries on a variety of fascinating topics such as art, sports, psychology, food, science and technology. You will express and support opinions, build and use a wide range of vocabulary and present ideas in class.

Language Levels:  A1,  A2 Locations:  Toronto English Communication English Communication focuses on improving your general communicative ability in English for everyday communication. The course has a strong focus on listening and speaking skills, as well as, reading and writing skills with integrated grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. In English Communication, you will improve your:

- confidence communicating in English in a variety of everyday situations in small group activities and lively classroom discussions - conversation and presentation strategies - speaking fluency and accuracy  - listening, speaking, reading and writing skills with integrated grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary - productive grammar and functions in daily use - active vocabulary for a wide variety of topics Language Levels:  I1,  I2,  I3,  I4,  A1,  A2 Locations:  Sydney,  Brisbane,  Melbourne,  Adelaide,  Vancouver,  Toronto,  Montreal,  New Delhi,  Perth English Foundation English Foundation focuses on the core language skills you need for a solid English foundation. You will focus on speaking fluency and accuracy, informal discussion skills, reading and listening skills, presentation skills, debating and use of persuasive language.
